Auchroisk 12 - Whisky Heroes: The Might of the Moor - 1st Fill Oloroso Sherry Barrique Finish (57.2%)

An Auchroisk aged 12 years, from Speyside, bottled by Brave New Spirits in its Whisky Heroes range under the name The Might of the Moor. It was finished in a first fill Oloroso sherry barrique, which gave it an amber colour. It comes from a single cask at 57.2% ABV, with 302 bottles filled. It is non-chill-filtered and natural colour. The nose brings dried apricot, candied orange peel, summer hay and lemon balm. On the palate, sweet raisins meet the bright acidity of ripe lemon and a clear note of mint. The finish shows exotic mango and a long, fresh menthol note.
