The Might of the Moor is a 12 year old Speyside single malt from Auchroisk, the third release in Brave New Spirits' WhiskyHeroes series. It was distilled on 1 April 2013 and bottled on 7 April 2025, after a finish in a first fill Oloroso sherry barrique. The single cask gave 302 bottles at 57.2%, in 70cl bottles, non-chill-filtered and without added colour.
The finish gives a pronounced dried fruit character while citrus and herbal notes remain. The nose has dried apricot, candied orange peel, hay and lemon balm. The palate is dense, with sweet raisins, ripe lemon, green herbs and clear mint. The finish is long and dry, with dried mango and cool menthol.
