This is a single cask Auchroisk from Speyside, bottled by Hunter Laing in its Old Malt Cask series. It was distilled in 2007, is 15 years old and was matured in a sherry cask.
Only 181 bottles were filled from the cask, at 50% ABV and without chill-filtration.
The nose is mellow apple and forest fruit. Red berries and chocolate follow on the palate, and the finish is long and warming, with more sweet fruit.
