This Auchroisk is a 15 year old single malt bottled by Dràm Mòr for its Summer Release 2024. It was matured in a single first-fill bourbon barrel, and 231 bottles were filled.
The nose pairs sweet vanilla with lavender and violets, then adds old leather-bound books, marshmallow, stewed pears and a touch of clove. The palate is lively, sweet and rich, with dates, juicy sultanas, muscovado sugar and a little chilli, and the bourbon cask brings vanilla and warming spice. The finish is notably spicy, with sweet pink peppercorns and molasses, both sweet and bitter.
