This is a 16 year old Speyside single malt from Auchroisk, part of the Signatory Vintage Cask Strength Collection and selected personally by the owner of Signatory Vintage under the name Symington's Choice. It is bottled at 57.9% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The spirit was filled into cask on 20 September 2008 and bottled in 2025. It was finished in a first fill Pedro Ximenez hogshead, and 339 bottles were produced.
The nose opens fresh and peppery, with lemon, sour cherry and pastry, then sherried candied fruit and chocolate. The palate is sweet, with plums, chocolate, honey, raspberry jam and almond. The finish is long, both spicy and sweet.
