This is a single cask Auchroisk from Speyside, distilled on 25 January 2007 and bottled on 28 February 2020 by the Artful Dodger Whisky Collective. It matured for 13 years in a refill bourbon hogshead and was bottled at a cask strength of 59.5%, giving 350 bottles of 50cl. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
Pastry-like malt and nuts lead the nose, with a gentle milky-coffee sweetness. The palate is full and velvety, with honey-roasted pecans and Brazil nuts, candied ginger and fresh pineapple, finishing with cappuccino. The finish is soft and long, with pastry and nutty notes.
