Auchroisk – 2012-2023 10 Year Old Provenance Single Cask DL17318 (70cl, 46%)

This is a 10 year old Speyside single malt from Auchroisk, distilled in 2012 and bottled by Douglas Laing in 2023 for its Provenance range. It comes in a 70cl bottle at 46%. The whisky is a single refill hogshead, cask DL17318, bottled without colouring or chill filtration. The cask yielded 393 bottles. The tasting notes describe a nose of softened, juicy barley, very gentle spice and a biscuit note. On the palate come hard fruit candy, more spice than on the nose and warm toffee. The finish begins with citrus, then turns warming, with piquant cereal notes.
