A 9-year-old Speyside single malt from Auchroisk, bottled at 57.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It comes from Claxton's, a family company that started releasing whisky from its own casks in 2015 and puts the balance of cask and spirit quality first. The nose opens with boiled sweets that give way to rich dried fruit, suggesting apricot, prune and fig. The palate is plush and well rounded, with a peachy character.
