This is a 13 year old Kentucky straight bourbon from Augusta Distillery, bottled from a single barrel at a cask strength of 66% in a 75cl bottle. It is a limited, distillery exclusive release, one of 148 bottles drawn from a single #4 char barrel.
The bourbon was aged in new charred oak and was chosen to commemorate the distillery's first bottling.
The nose is described as antique wood, wet soil and dry corn over honeyed vanilla. On the palate come exotic spice and caramel, with hints of buttery cream and cured tea leaves.
