Aultmore – 12 Year Old 2006 Old Particular (70cl, 48.4%)

This is a 12 year old Aultmore from the Old Particular range, bottled at 48.4% in a 70cl bottle. It was distilled in 2006 and matured in a refill hogshead, and it is non-chill filtered. Only 365 bottles were filled. Aultmore was completely rebuilt in the 1970s, and nothing remains of the original buildings from 1896. The nose offers toffee apples, Christmas pudding and dried fruits. On the palate come pecan pie, vanilla custard and citrus fruits, and the finish brings charred oak and spice.
