This is a 21 year old Aultmore single malt from Speyside, distilled in 1974 and part of the Rare Malts series. It is bottled at a cask strength of 60.9%. The colour is full gold. The nose is big and malty, with artisan ale, cigars, smoky tea and roasted nuts, alongside burnt oak, apples and cocoa powder. On the palate it is stouty, with brownies, chocolate cookies, roasted pecans, leather and a little marmalade. The finish is long, bitter and malty, yet balanced and spicy, with coffee and only a late hint of obvious oak.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
