Aultmore 15 Year Old is a Speyside single malt finished for six months in Marsala Vergine Riserva Oro casks, which held dry Marsala from Sicily. The finish adds depth, spice and structure to the distillery's fresh, grassy character.
Baked apples, tangy quince and ripe orchard fruit lead the nose. Roasted almonds, cloves and sweet malt follow on the palate, with subtle citrus and dried fruit. The finish is lingering, with dark chocolate, gentle oak spice and a dry Marsala note.
