Aultmore 15 Year Old Ruby Marsala Finish is a Speyside single malt bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill filtered and has no added colouring.
The whisky matures for 15 years in refill American oak hogsheads, then spends six months in Marsala Rubino Dolce casks made from red grapes, known for rich red fruit and high tannins.
The nose combines cherries, ripe plums, pomegranate and soft malt. The palate has juicy summer fruits, a grassy character, gentle spice and a subtle vinous richness. The finish is lingering, with ripe red fruit, gentle tannins and delicate warming spice.
