This is a 16 year old Aultmore from Speyside, bottled by Best Dram in a 70cl bottle at 54.7% ABV.
It was distilled in October 2006 and matured in a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry barrel until bottling in January 2023. Just 186 bottles were filled.
The nose is lightly nutty, with caramel and sweet dark forest fruits. On the palate the creamy Pedro Ximénez character comes with more dark forest fruits, fine spice, almonds, prune and a little mocha. The finish is medium in length, sweet and slightly spicy.
