This is a 14-year-old Aultmore single malt, distilled in 2009 and bottled in 2023 by Hannah Whisky Merchants. It was matured in a red wine barrique and is bottled at 53.1% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers umeshu, wild strawberry, green apples, powdered porcini mushroom and a touch of liquorice. On the palate come over-ripe grapes, cinnamon, cranberries and dark chocolate, in harmony with the red wine cask. The finish is long and tannic, reminiscent of nebbiolo.
