A 22 year old Speyside single malt from Aultmore, distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2023 at 50.2% in a 70cl bottle. It is a single cask bottling, one of 606 bottles, and an exclusive distillery release.
The whisky spent its final 3 years in an Oloroso sherry cask, giving a taste that is rich and dark yet manageable.
Aultmore shares some character with Linkwood, being fragrant on the nose and substantial on the tongue. Alexander Edward built the distillery in 1896, and it has been part of the John Dewar & Sons estate since 1923.
