Ballantine's 17 Years is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle at 43% ABV. It has been on the market since 1930, and its recipe has stayed the same since then.
The nose is soft, with honey, peat and oak over subtle vanilla. The palate is sweet and layered, with honey, oak and peat alongside hints of lime, lemon and sweet grain.
The finish is long and smoky, opening vanilla-sweet and ending slightly salty.
