Highland Park Fire is a 15-year-old single malt scotch and the successor to the Valhalla Collection, released as part of the Ice & Fire series. It was matured entirely in refill casks that were seasoned with port wine, a first for Highland Park, and bottled at 45.2% ABV. In total, 28,000 bottles were filled.
The nose is lively, with red fruit, vanilla, cinnamon, dark chocolate, fern and hibiscus. The palate opens with fresh citrus, then wood smoke, peat, dark fruit, vanilla and spice. The finish is long and gently sweet, with strawberry and black pepper.
