Ballantine's 7 Year Old is a blended Scotch whisky in a 70cl bottle, aged for seven years and then finished in bourbon barrels. The aim is to join the character of Scotch with the sweetness of bourbon.
It keeps the Ballantine's house character, with an added touch of caramelised apple and caramel from the final period in bourbon casks.
