Ballantine's Barrel Smooth is a blended Scotch whisky bottled at 40% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky is selected from barrels, and maturation in a double-charred cask gives it a lightly smoky character. It is sweet, particularly on the nose.
On the palate it is restrained, though a touch of liqueur-like character can still be found.
