Ballantine's Finest is a blended Scotch whisky in a 1 litre bottle, put together from more than 40 malt and grain whiskies to a secret recipe.
The name comes from George Ballantine (1807-1891), who started the business in Edinburgh. His sons carried it on, and it was granted a Royal Warrant in 1903. After the family sold the company in 1919, the new owners built sales in the United States.
