First fill Monbazillac hogshead
A 12 year old Highland single malt from Ballechin, distilled in 2013 from heavily peated malt. It was matured exclusively in a first fill Monbazillac hogshead for the Itineraires series and bottled at 48.2% ABV in a 70cl bottle. The nose combines balanced peat smoke with ripe orchard fruit, acacia honey, candied citrus, floral touches and fresh herbs. On the palate the peat is assertive yet elegant, alongside poached pear, apricot and candied lemon. The finish is long and gently smoky, with honey, dried fruit and aromatic herbs.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
