Ballechin is the heavily peated spirit made at Edradour since 2003, distilled from barley smoked with peat to at least 50 ppm. This 15 year old cask strength bottling is 58.9% ABV and comes from 3461 bottles.
It is a vatting of first fill bourbon barrels and second fill Oloroso sherry butts. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour.
The name Ballechin comes from a Perthshire farm distillery that closed in 1927.
