This is a 10 year old single cask Speyside malt from Balmenach, bottled in 2016 by Signatory Vintage as 100 Proof Edition #79. It comes from the cask at 57.1% and is unfiltered and natural in colour.
The whisky was first matured in bourbon casks and then finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts, bringing together the fruity Speyside tradition and the deep, winey character of the sherry wood.
