This Balmenach is a 13 year old Speyside single malt from Gordon & MacPhail's Connoisseurs Choice range. It was distilled in 2009 and bottled in March 2023 at 62.3% ABV.
It matured in a first-fill sherry hogshead, which gave an outturn of 325 bottles.
The nose offers forest fruits, roasted hazelnuts and syrupy toffee. On the palate come banana, ginger warmth, cinnamon and bright red berries, leading to a medium-length finish with citrus peel and a touch of black pepper.
