Balmenach – 2016-2026 10 Year Old Signatory Vintage 100 Proof Edition 79 (70cl, 57.1%)

This is Edition 79 in Signatory Vintage's 100 Proof series, a Balmenach distilled in 2016 and bottled at 10 years old. It is a Speyside single malt in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was finished in first-fill Oloroso sherry butts and is bottled at 57.1%, which is 100 Proof in the old UK imperial system. As with the rest of the series, it has no added colouring and is not chill-filtered. Balmenach's spirit is wormtub-cooled and described as gutsy, a character that pairs well with sherry cask maturation.
