This is a 16 year old Balvenie single malt from the Cask Finishes range. It matured first in American oak casks and was then finished in French oak casks that previously held Pineau des Charentes.
The nose is described as floral and fresh, with lotus blossom, geranium, green apple skin and spring meadows. On the palate come lemon rind, grapefruit and gentle ginger warmth, followed by vanilla, honey and candied fruit.
