Barbera DOC Pingo

A red wine of immediate, varietal character. It shows a bright ruby colour, with dark red fruit such as cherry and raspberry, light spice and floral notes. The palate has medium body, lively acidity and present but soft tannins, with a clean finish. It is versatile at table, suiting cured meats, tomato-sauce pasta, white meats and semi-hard cheeses. It is best enjoyed in the short to medium term, while the fruit remains central, and served around 16-18 C, with brief decanting if needed.
