This is a blended bourbon from Bardstown Bourbon Company, made in collaboration with Foursquare Distillery of Barbados and bottled at 52% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
The blend draws on Kentucky straight bourbons aged 7 and 17 years, a 7-year-old Indiana rye and a 17-year-old Tennessee bourbon. It was then finished for 23 months in ex-rum barrels from Foursquare, resting on the top floor of the Bardstown rickhouse.
The nose leads with molasses, toasted coconut, caramelised banana and vanilla. The palate is rich with brown sugar and dried pineapple, then honeyed oak, nutmeg and allspice. The finish is long and warming, with spiced rum, baked citrus and caramel.
