Bardstown Bourbon Company – Collaborative Series Plantation Rum Finish (75cl, 52%)

This is a 10-year-old Tennessee bourbon from the Bardstown Bourbon Company, bottled at 52% ABV in a 75cl bottle. The mash bill is 84% corn, 8% rye and 8% malted barley, and the whiskey matured in the company's Kentucky rickhouses. It was then finished for 22 months in Plantation Rum Xayamaca barrels, the Jamaican expression blended and finished by the Cognac house Maison Ferrand. It is the first rum-finished release in the Collaborative Series, which pairs the distillery with producers across wine, beer and spirits. The nose offers orange peel, allspice and cinnamon. The palate brings banana bread, rich caramel and apple crisp, and the long finish carries molasses, toffee, roasted nuts and dried pineapple.
