Discovery Series #13 from Bardstown Bourbon Company is a Kentucky straight bourbon bottled at 55.4% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is a blend of four Kentucky bourbons aged between 8 and 15 years, drawn from mash bills that run from high rye to a more balanced, corn-forward recipe.
After blending, the bourbon is double barreled, finished in American and Hungarian oak. It is a limited, one-time release.
The nose brings warm oak, roasted caramel, vanilla and toasted spice. The palate offers honeycomb, baked fruit, clove and deep wood tannins, and the finish is long, with earthy notes and peppery rye warmth.
