Michter's Single Barrel Straight Rye is a straight rye whiskey from the Michter's Distillery in Louisville, Kentucky. Each bottle comes from a single barrel, and the strength is 42.4% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It is made from select American rye grain, which is sheared to draw more flavour from the grain, and matured in new, fire-charred American white oak barrels. It suits drinking neat or in cocktails.
Nut, mocha and leather run through the nose and palate, which starts light and semi-sweet before turning drier. Tasting notes also mention peppery spice, citrus and butterscotch.
