Michter's – Small Batch Unblended American Whiskey (75cl, 41.7%)

Michter's Small Batch Unblended American Whiskey is made at the Michter's distillery in Louisville, Kentucky, and bottled at 41.7% ABV in a 75cl bottle. It is matured in barrels that previously held bourbon, so it cannot be called bourbon, which requires new American oak. The use of whiskey-soaked barrels gives a mellow character with less of the smoky, charred influence found in bourbons. The nose has polished oak, buttery corn and a touch of caraway spice. The palate is creamy, with butterscotch, golden syrup and sultanas. On the finish, corn returns alongside peach and apple.
