Michter's – US*1 Original Sour Mash Whiskey (75cl, 43%)

Michter's US*1 Original Sour Mash Whiskey is an American whiskey bottled at 43% ABV in a 75cl bottle. Its release in December 2012 was the first in 23 years. It follows the sour mash method, in which some previously fermented mash starts the new fermentation. The grains are specially selected, and the whiskey is aged in fire-charred, new American white oak barrels before being filtered. It is a single barrel bottling. It has been described as smooth and buttery, with mellow vanilla and oak flavours and a faint cherry note running through a long finish.
