Origin Series is the first collection from Bardstown Bourbon Company made entirely from its own distillate. This is a 6-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, distilled, aged and bottled at the distillery in Bardstown and released in early 2023, in a 750ml bottle at 48% ABV.
The mash bill is 60% corn, 36% rye and 4% malted barley, a high-rye recipe, and the whiskey was aged in new charred American oak.
It is described as apricot, orange blossom and mint over caramel, nutmeg and rich oak, with cinnamon and vanilla on the palate.
