Barrell Craft Spirits Rye Batch 003 (75cl, 58.4%)

Rye Batch 003 is a blend of rye whiskeys from Indiana, Poland, Tennessee and Canada, bottled by Barrell Craft Spirits at 58.35% abv in a 750ml bottle. Tennessee rye barrels with caramel and dried fruit notes form the start, with Polish rye added for nuttiness and mouthfeel. A 13-year Canadian rye brings earthy grass, spearmint and apple, and Indiana rye finishes the blend with candied fruit and spice. The nose is sweet and earthy, with halva, shortbread, honey and almonds alongside kiwi, gooseberry and lemon curd. The palate offers peanut butter, molasses and coconut milk, with pine resin, juniper and ginger. The finish opens with gentian, cigar and mesquite smoke, then turns to sweet cream and coconut with a salty note.
