A Bas Armagnac 1976 from Samalens, shaped by long years in wood. The nose opens with mature dried fruit and prune, followed by light fig and candied orange peel, then sweet tobacco and a hint of leather. Wood brings vanilla and sweet spice that integrate with the spirit while the whole remains balanced and refined. The palate is enveloping and warm but well balanced, with polished tannins and a persistent return of fruity and spicy notes.
