A Bas Armagnac XO from Samalens, aged for 12 years in oak casks. It has a deep amber colour with golden to mahogany reflections. The nose offers mature fruit such as prunes and syruped peaches, with vanilla, cinnamon, clove, cocoa and tobacco. On the palate it is soft but well structured, with cooked fruit, toasted wood, caramel and a light bitter almond note, leading to a long, persistent finish. It is suggested as a digestif served at room temperature.
