An Armagnac from Samalens, distilled from wine and aged for 15 years, presented in a wooden box.
It has a deep amber colour with golden reflections. The nose opens with cooked fruit, dried plum and sweet spices such as cocoa and vanilla, with leather and tobacco emerging over time. On the palate it is rich and enveloping, with mature fruit, dark chocolate, caramel and a light spiciness. The finish is long and persistent.
It is best served slightly warmed.
