Belle Meade Madeira Cask Finish is a bourbon bottled at 45.2% by Nelson's Green Brier Distillery in Nashville, Tennessee. It is the third release in the Belle Meade Special Cask Finish Series, following the Sherry Cask and Cognac Cask finishes.
The blend combines bourbons aged 6 and 9 years, made from 64% corn, 30% rye and 6% malted barley. It is finished in casks that previously held Malmsey Madeira, and it is never chill-filtered.
The nose is floral, with vanilla and a hint of toffee. The palate offers dark wildflower honey, vanilla, ripe persimmon, dried black cherry, caramelised sugar and baking spices, with a soft, velvety feel. The finish is lengthy, with a touch of malt and chocolate.
