Ben Nevis – 13 Year Old 2011 Infrequent Flyers

This Ben Nevis was distilled in 2011 and aged for 13 years in a single hogshead that had previously held Recioto della Valpolicella, a sweet Venetian red wine. It is part of Alistair Walker's Infrequent Flyers series. Bottled in March 2025 at natural cask strength, it is non-chill-filtered and natural in colour. Only 299 bottles were produced. The wine cask brings dark berry richness and soft spice, with cherry and chocolate notes alongside the weighty, faintly coastal malt of the Highland distillery.
