Ben Nevis – 1970 43 Year Old, Berrys' Own Selection

This is a 43 year old whisky from Ben Nevis, from the 1970 vintage and selected by Berrys' Own Selection. It is a blend of grain and malt whisky, both from the Ben Nevis distillery. The grain and malt were married after distilling and matured together as a blended spirit for 43 years in a single cask. The age shows as maturity, yet there is surprisingly little woody character. Fruity finesse and a pleasantly creamy sweetness remain clearly noticeable.
