Ben Nevis 2008 13 Year Old – Ingelred

This is a 13 year old single malt from Ben Nevis, distilled in 2008. The distillery stands north of Fort William at the foot of Ben Nevis, the highest mountain in Scotland, which gives it its name. Ben Nevis has drawn its water from the mountain since 1925. It closed in 1978 and was reopened in 1990 by Nikka Whisky. Its two wash stills and two spirit stills are steam heated, and it matures spirit in new sherry casks, new bourbon casks and refill bourbon casks.
