This is a 12 year old Benriach single cask bottling, matured in a Madeira cask and bottled at 57.2% abv. The whisky was distilled in 2013 and bottled at the end of 2025.
Benriach was founded in 1898 by John Duff, on the site of the old Riach farm in the north of Speyside.
The nose is creamy and sweet, with blackcurrant, orange peel, tonka bean and cappuccino. The palate repeats these and adds dark chocolate, sloe and a touch of liquorice, with a subtle smoky note. The finish is bittersweet, warming and long.
