Benriach 12 Year Old, known as The Twelve, is a Speyside single malt bottled by the distillery at 46%. It is non-chill-filtered and has no added colour.
The whisky is matured in a mix of sherry, bourbon and port casks, and the combination of these cask types gives it a layered character.
The nose shows red berries and ripe apple with gentle spice and a touch of vanilla. On the palate it is full-bodied, with honey and caramel sweetness, spicy notes and a subtle nuttiness. The finish is long and soft, with light oak and a warming sweetness.
