BenRiach 12 Year Old is a Speyside single malt Scotch whisky bottled at 46% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It is matured for at least twelve years in a combination of sherry casks, bourbon barrels and port casks. BenRiach was built in 1898 in the north of Speyside and continues to floor malt.
Butterscotch and maple syrup lead the nose, with dark chocolate, sultanas and tobacco leaf. The palate is honeyed, with toffee, cooked apple, raisins and cinnamon, and a jammy sweetness from the port. The finish is medium-long, with white pepper, ginger, dried fruit and tangerine peel.
