This is a BenRiach 17 Year Old, distilled on 11 May 2007 and bottled in October 2024 by Thompson Bros. It matured in a refill hogshead and was limited to 296 bottles. It is bottled at 47.3% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
Dried fruit, spices and citrus sit alongside a slightly funky edge. The nose brings dried apricots, ginger, honey and fresh lime, with a vegetal note recalling cachaça and a hint of fruit-jelly sweets. The palate offers honeyed malt, stone fruit, green grapes, white pepper and yellow plums, and the finish is salty and slightly funky, with good length.
