A 40-year-old Speyside single malt from Benriach, bottled by Gordon & MacPhail for its Private Collection. It was distilled on 20 October 1982, matured in a single cask, number 5217, and bottled on 22 June 2022 at 51.7% ABV in a 70cl bottle. It is natural in colour and not chill-filtered.
The nose combines fresh fruit with vanilla, honey, fine spices and a restrained oak note. The palate is full and rich, with dried fruit, chocolate and cinnamon alongside elegant oak spice. The finish is long and warm, with gentle sweetness and a fine echo of aged oak.
