This BenRiach is a 25 year old single malt distilled in 1993 and matured in a claret cask. It is bottled at 53.1% in a 70cl bottle, and the whisky has an auburn colour.
On the nose there is sweet honeysuckle, cherry blossom and grape vine, with golden syrup and vanilla, and fresh oak running throughout. The palate is sweet, floral and fruity, with red apple and grape in honey and vanilla cream. Candy floss and red grape skin carry into a sweet, refined finish.
