This is a 20 year old single cask Speyside single malt from BenRiach, bottled by Signatory Vintage in its Cask Strength Collection. It was distilled on 24 May 2000 and bottled on 18 February 2021 at 59.1%, in a 70cl bottle, from refill butts with a finish in a fresh sherry butt. The outturn was 706 bottles, non-chill-filtered and without colouring.
The nose shows dark fruit, raisins and figs with chocolate, nuts, spicy oak, sherry and a hint of leather. The palate is full, with dried fruit, caramel, spice and dark chocolate. The finish is long and warming, with oak, spice, dry tannins and sweetness.
